How we work

We build businesses from zero. And rebuild them from the inside.

Abstract

Two starting points, one approach. We either build a business from a blank page, or take an existing one and rebuild it end-to-end. The work is the same; only the starting point changes.

01

One engine: deep research, financial conviction, operational ownership. We point it at a blank page or a broken business. We don't stop at the recommendation. We own the work and run the company until it stands on its own.

02
New ventures, built from zero.

We don't build opportunistically. Every venture starts with a sector we believe has a structural advantage: a gap the incumbents can't close, a shift the market hasn't priced in, an inefficiency deep enough to build a business around.

From there it's method, not instinct. We do the primary research ourselves, validate with real users and market feedback, model the economics until the thesis either holds or breaks, and only commit when the evidence is there. Then we build the product, the team, the operations, and take the company to market. We don't hand it off. We run the company until it can stand on its own.

Research

We pick sectors with structural advantages and do the primary research ourselves. Not desk research, but the kind that means talking to the market directly and reading the things no one else bothers to.

Validation

We test the core thesis with real users before committing to a model. Direct conversations with potential customers tell us whether the need is real and whether our approach to it is right.

Model

We model the economics and pressure-test the thesis until it either holds or breaks. Most ideas break here. That is the point: we'd rather kill a venture on a spreadsheet than in the market.

Build

We build the product, hire the founding team, and set up operations from scratch. The early decisions are ours to get right, and ours to live with.

Operate

We take the company to market and run it, not as advisors, but as operators accountable to what it becomes.

03
Existing businesses, rebuilt from within.

A struggling business rarely has one problem. It has a single constraint that everything else is downstream of, and a founder narrative that explains everything except that constraint. Our work starts by finding it.

We don't arrive with the answer. We spend our first weeks listening, reading the business as a document, and talking to the people the leadership team doesn't usually hear from. Only then do we rebuild, starting with the core operations, then transforming the entire business: strategy, technology, team, brand, and sales. We lead the work on the ground, alongside the existing team, until the business runs leaner, sharper, and built to compound.

Diagnose

We read the business as a document and talk to everyone: floor-level staff, churned customers, suppliers with long memories. We then identify the one constraint everything else is downstream of.

Rebuild

We rebuild core operations first, then work across the entire business: strategy, operations, technology, team, brand, and sales, until the parts reinforce each other instead of working against one another.

Hand off

We lead on the ground until the business runs without us. A business that stays dependent on us is a failure, not a success.
